Mimi Arts and Crafts offers a wide selection of art, books, hand made items and more!

Mimi collects artwork from an expansive area of 380,000 sq km - representing artists from the entire Katherine region, which spans from the Tanami Desert in the west up to the Kimberley’s and across to the saltwater.

Mimi Arts and Crafts also sell books on Australian and Aboriginal history, art and issues and a selection of children’s titles, CD’s and DVD’s.

You can also shop for luggage items (designed by Catherine Manuell) and other local artist designs such as Didgeridoos, Wood Plates, Boomerangs, Bookmarks, Fabrics and even Postcards you can send home.
At Mimi Arts and Crafts their specialty is their wide range of paintings on canvas or paper from artists as far north as Gapuwiyak to Lajamanu in the south.

Out-of-town visitors are welcome to enjoy viewing the significant difference in artworks between the Arnhem Land and the Tanami Desert styles.

Mimi Arts and Crafts is located a 6 Pearce Street, Katherine and is generally open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

As an Aboriginal owned and operated not-for-profit art centre. More than 50% of sales go to the artists. The remaining proceeds go into running the art centre and providing customers with an ethical way to purchase Indigenous artwork.
